Stat and nature formula
Every stat except HP is derived from base stat, IV, EV and level, then multiplied by the nature modifier. The boosted stat is ×1.1 and the hindered stat is ×0.9, with truncation at each step. HP is never affected by nature.
Stat = ⌊(⌊(2×Base + IV + ⌊EV÷4⌋) × Lv ÷ 100⌋ + 5) × Nature⌋ HP = ⌊(2×Base + IV + ⌊EV÷4⌋) × Lv ÷ 100⌋ + Lv + 10
FAQ
What does a nature change?
One of the five non-HP stats is multiplied by 1.1 and another by 0.9. The gap grows with level and base stat — at Lv50 with a high base stat it can be well over ten points.
Which natures are neutral?
The five natures that boost and hinder the same stat (Hardy / Docile / Serious / Bashful / Quirky) have no effect. They are the diagonal of the table.
Which nature should I pick?
Boost what you use and lower what you don’t. Physical attackers drop SpA; special attackers drop Atk. Defensive builds often boost Def or SpD instead.
