Tools
Which tool to use
Use the IV calculator to check a caught Pokémon, the shiny odds calculator to estimate how many tries a hunt needs, the hatch planner for egg steps and egg counts, the nature table to confirm stat modifiers, and the EXP calculator for levelling. All of them use Generation 9 (Scarlet & Violet) formulas.
FAQ
What is the difference between IVs and EVs?
IVs are fixed from the moment a Pokémon is generated and run from 0 to 31; EVs go from 0 to 252 and are what you invest during training. Both feed the same stat formula, but only EVs can be changed afterwards.
Are all of these based on Generation 9?
Yes. The stat formula, shiny odds, egg steps (128 per cycle) and EXP curves all follow Scarlet & Violet. Note that egg steps changed across generations, so figures differ from older sources that use 255 steps per cycle.
