Type Matchup Calculator

Pick up to two types and instantly see defensive weaknesses, resistances and immunities — or switch to offense to see what your moves hit super-effectively. Based on the Gen 9 type chart.

Choose up to two defending types of your Pokémon.

Select a type to see the damage multipliers it takes.

How the multiplier is calculated

With two defending types, the two multipliers are multiplied together — ×2 and ×2 gives ×4, while ×2 and ×½ cancels out to neutral. In offense mode, the highest multiplier among your selected move types is used. Values follow the Generation 9 type chart.

Defensive multiplier = type 1 × type 2 · Offensive multiplier = highest of your move types

FAQ

How are weaknesses and resistances calculated?

The multipliers each defending type takes are multiplied together. For example, Fire/Flying takes 2× × 2× = 4× from Rock.

What does Offense mode show?

It lists the defending types your chosen move types hit super-effectively (2× or more), not very effectively (½ or less), or not at all. Pick two types to check combined coverage.

Which generation does it use?

It follows the Gen 9 (Scarlet & Violet) type chart, and is handy for checking matchups after changing type with Terastallization.
